Meet Tawnya

I hold a master's degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Denver.   I have served students and teachers for 15 years in a variety of roles.  As an instructional coach and coordinator of MTSS in many different school settings, I have experienced the power of collaboration in maximizing student growth.  As an educator, my efforts are focused on both student achievement and teacher proficiency.

 Developing and delivering differentiated professional development plans for staff, supporting the initiation and sustainability of systems for interventions, action planning, disaggregated data analysis and community connections are areas where I have detailed experience.  Each year, I participate in a variety of webinars and attend conferences to continue my own professional learning.  I read a variety of research on both leadership and education to gain insight into best practices which I regularly share with my collaborators during our school work.  I have presented at state level conferences with a focus on literacy across content areas.
